Paula Colarusso
I am a native Montanan transplanted into upstate NY. My menagerie consists of a husband, step kids, many cats, a few dogs and lots of vintage cookware and dust. In a past life I was a pioneer cook working on a chuck wagon on the great plains… or a widow who ran a boarding house.
My passion runs to friendship, faith and a really good steak.
I think the nicest thing you can do for someone is pray out loud for them, and make them a hotdish.
My dream is that every person that comes into my virtual and real home will feel welcome, wanted and full.
Really full.
I will be that crazy Aunt that smells like Chanel No.5 and drinks bourbon at 3pm… (well looky there… one goal down. J )
I have a ginormous collection of dusty vintage cookbooks from the some of best cooks in all the fly over states. Local ladies that gathered their family’s best kept recipes and put them into those often overlooked church or social organization cook books. From the Deep south to the West coast… from Cape Cod to Montana, Regional home grown cooking is our past and must be preserved if we are to have a future.
I am Queen of the Low-Snob, High Fun easy recipe.
I’d love to hear about where you come from and what shaped your tastebuds.
